Deacon Doug Moreau dedicated many years of his life to his career, his community, and, most importantly, his faith. He began his career at Avoyelles Value, where he served as Shop Foreman from 1977 until 1984. He then joined Cooper Cameron, Inc., serving as an Industrial Engineering Supervisor from 1984 until 2001. He later worked in sales with DGI Supply, where he remained until his retirement in 2024.

A devoted man of faith and service, Deacon Doug was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and participated in A.C.T.S. Retreats throughout Central Louisiana and Avoyelles Parish. His commitment to his Catholic faith was evident through his involvement with That Man Is You, the Steubenville Conference, and his assistance with CCD religious education classes. He also attended a Cursillo Retreat, further deepening his faith and dedication to serving others.

Answering a call to serve the Church, Doug was ordained as a Deacon in 2022. He faithfully embraced his ministry and found great purpose in sharing his faith, serving his church community, and helping others grow closer to God.
