History
Sacred Heart School in Moreauville, Louisiana was opened in 1899 and staffed by the Daughters of the Cross Sisters. Tragedy struck Sacred Heart Church on Christmas Day in 1908 when fire burned the church, school, convent and rectory. By November, 1910, the church, the school, convent and rectory were completely rebuilt.
By 1920, low enrollment and insufficient funds forced the Daughters of the Cross Sisters to withdraw. The old building was sold to the public school system and the Sisters moved away.
Twenty-eight years later, in 1947, the Daughters of the Cross Sisters returned to Moreauville and reopened the school.
In the spring of 1963, the Daughters of the Cross Sisters were no longer able to staff the school.. In the fall of 1963, Sacred Heart School came under the direction of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows.
Sacred Heart School has continued to grow through the additions of a new cafeteria, a large library, a large gymnasium, and the additions of Pre-K and Kindergarten classes.
Sacred Heart School continues to flourish under the direction of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows.

How to Enroll
Pre-registration is held for Sacred Heart students and their siblings in February. Open registration is held in March. The registration process includes the deposit with required forms including a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, social security card, and immunization records.
