Married Couples Retreat

A Married Couples Retreat will be held August 18-20, 2023 at Maryhill Renewal Center.

With humor, story, and lecture, this retreat engages couples to see the great gift God has given them in their marriage and practical ways to love their spouse in their day-to-day encounters. Whether you are looking for something to bolster your marriage or need tangible skills to help through some troubled times, this is the event for you. This retreat will help discover the mysteries of Marriage and the grace that flows from this great Sacrament!

“Living the Gift of Marriage” covers four major themes of married life: Seeing the Sacrament of Marriage, Growing in Spiritual Intimacy, Renewing Emotional Intimacy, and Sharing the Marital Embrace. Following each presentation there is a growth exercise or couple sharing time.The weekend will also include times for mass, adoration and reconciliation.

Mario Sacasa holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Holy Cross and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. He has been in practice for over 15 years, integrating the riches of the Catholic faith with counseling practices. He serves married couples and individuals on their journey of faith through his podcast Always Hope, writing for the blog, speaking engagements, directing retreats, and having an active social media presence. Dr. Mario is married to his wife of 20 years, Kristin, with whom he shares the joy parenting their four sons.

Special guests, Paul and Heather Augustin from the Diocese of Lafayette, will offer a witness of their marriage to the couples.

Deadline to register is August 4 cost is $285 per couple.

A deposit of $75 and a registration form is required to secure your spot on the retreat.
