Lenten Regulations: Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards. For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. St. Rita Church will have a Lenten Mission on March 1-4 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. with guest speaker, Fr. Augustine (Fr. Gus) Tharappel, MSFS. Fr. Gus will speak on the Season of Lent as the “Springtime” of the Church as well as the Lenten spriritual disciplines of repentance, penance, prayer, and almsgiving.

6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Church. Fr. Ramji Shoury will be conducting our Lenten Mission. The topics for meditation for the Mission will be: Prayer of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane Why (need of) Physical suffering of Jesus Victory if Suffering and Resurrection of Jesus and Our resurrection from sin and death.

Due to Covid regulations there will be no dining in the hall, and masks will be required for pick-up. For delivery call 447-3663 with a minimum of three orders. Menu includes fried fish, french fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. (Please note that the Fish Fry will not be served on Good Friday).
