On Saturday, May 22, Blaine Phillips and Gabe Dowden were ordained Transitional Deacons. They will continue their formation in their respective assigned parishes until they are ordained priests.

On Monday, March 30, Bishop Robert Marshall gathered at the Cathedral for Vespers with Vocations Director, Father Luke LaFleur, Deacon Matthew Bonner, and with many of the seminarians of our diocese. During the liturgy, Deacon Matthew made his Profession of Faith and took the Oath of Fidelity - important steps before his ordination to the priesthood in June.

On Palm Sunday weekend, 3 young men from the Diocese of Alexandria attended the Spring "Come and See" weekend at St. Joseph Abbey Seminary College in St. Benedict, LA (just outside Covington). Roughly 200 men attended the retreat in which they had the opportunity to see the seminary grounds, meet seminarians, and get a glimpse of seminary life.

BISHOP MARSHALL VISITS SEMINARIANS. On Thursday, Sept. 4, following the installation Mass in the Archdiocese of Mobile, Bishop Robert Marshall traveled to Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. There, celebrated Mass for the seminary community and had breakfast with those Alexandria seminarians who attend NDS. From left to right in the photo are: Cullen Phillips, Graham Descant, Matthew Bonner, Bishop Marshall, Blaine Phillips, Gabe Dowden, and Jacob Cass. Please keep our seminarians in your prayers.
