NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY CHURCH IN CAMPTI CELEBRATES 194TH ANNIVERSARY. In 1831, land in the town of Campti was donated by Miss Frances Crichet and a new chapel was built on it, blessed and dedicated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin by Fr. Jean Baptiste Blanc of Natchitoches on September 8, 1831. A Mass celebrating this anniversary was held on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025.
