As the United States of America commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence this year, the U.S. bishops have consecrated the country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

All Catholics are encouraged to join the bishops in praying for the unity and healing of our country. 

In conjunction with the USCCB initiative, the Diocese of Alexandria will be promoting 250 Hours of Adoration throughout the diocese during the month of July.

Please complete the brief form below if you have participated during this month-long event. There is an option to submit photos through the form. We will publish any stories or photos that we receive in a future issue of the Church Today.

Opportunities for Adoration across the diocese

Mary, Mother of Jesus Church, Woodworth
Adoration and Benediction Thursdays 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Tioga
Adoration Mon., Wed., Thurs., Fri. from 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon and also Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

St. Patrick Church, Ferriday
Adoration Wednesdays from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. 

Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Vidalia
Adoration is on First Friday from 5:00- 5:30 p.m. 

Sts. Francis & Anne Church, Kolin
Adoration schedule:
Saturdays 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. followed by Mass
Sundays 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass
Mondays 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Tuesdays 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. followed by Mass
Fridays 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. followed by Mass
Novena and prayer cards are available to those who would like to take and use at home. The church is open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily for anyone wanting to spend time with the Blessed Sacrament. Sign Up sheets are available on the bulletin board in the back of the church. 
250 Works of Mercy can be organized service projects or other opportunities for parishioner involvement.  General information can be found at https://www.usccb.org/250-works-mercy

St. Anthony of Padua Church, Bunkie
Eucharistic Adoration every Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament each Friday at 4:45 p.m.All wishing to offer Adoration as a Work of Mercy are invited.   There are adorers in the church at every hour through the day.

Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Pineville 
The Adoration Chapel is open 24 hours every day, 7 days every week.  Call (318) 445-2497 or visit the church office for the code, and don’t keep Our Lord waiting. 

St. Rita Church, Alexandria
The Blessed Sacrament is reserved for adoration by all the faithful in the St. Pius X Chapel located in the rear of the Church building. Hours are 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
To obtain the combination for the chapel stop by the church office at 4401 Bayou Rapides Road, during office hours. We remind you not to give the code to anyone, and please do not open the door for anyone.
