Hispanic Ministry<\/h2>\n

La Pastoral Juvenil Hispana, tiene como finalidad lograr un crecimiento humano-cristiano en los j\u00f3venes hispanos de la Di\u00f3cesis de Alexandria. La Pastoral Juvenil Hispana ofrece a los j\u00f3venes y j\u00f3venes adultos de la Di\u00f3cesis: acompa\u00f1amiento a los grupos juveniles parroquiales, fines de semana vocacionales, retiros espirituales, para que los j\u00f3venes sean capaces de proclamar una fe viva a trav\u00e9s de actividades que promuevan la integraci\u00f3n y convivencia juvenil.<\/p>\n

La Pastoral Juvenil Hispana promueve la comuni\u00f3n y participaci\u00f3n de grupos y movimientos de j\u00f3venes adultos de las diferentes parroquias y les anima a desarrollar un liderazgo y compromiso con Jes\u00fas y su Iglesia.<\/p>\n

La Pastoral Juvenil acompa\u00f1a al joven durante su crecimiento como ser humano y su desarrollo cristiano. Toda actividad de la pastoral juvenil est\u00e1 dirigida a la conversi\u00f3n (participaci\u00f3n en el misterio pascual de Cristo), lo cual representa un reto para el joven a vivir la plenitud de la vida Cristiana.<\/p>\n

Esta conversi\u00f3n ser\u00e1 posible a trav\u00e9s de un proceso que, paso a paso ira presentando al joven retos cada vez mayores, que promuevan en \u00e9l una profunda experiencia sacramental y de oraci\u00f3n, que lo llevar\u00e1 hacia una vida eclesial y social comprometida al servicio de Cristo y su Iglesia.<\/p>\n

Que es la Pastoral Juvenil? <\/h4>\n

“Es la acci\u00f3n organizada de la Iglesia para acompa\u00f1ar a los j\u00f3venes a descubrir, seguir y comprometerse con Jesucristo y su mensaje, para que transformados en hombres y mujeres nuevos, e integrando su fe y su vida, se conviertan en protagonistas (agente activos) de la construcci\u00f3n de la Civilizaci\u00f3n del Amor”. La Pastoral Juvenil se organiza para acompa\u00f1ar al joven en su crecimiento como ser humano y en el desarrollo de su compromiso cristiano.<\/p>\n

Toda actividad de la pastoral juvenil tendr\u00e1 un aspecto de conversi\u00f3n (participaci\u00f3n en el misterio pascual de Cristo) que retar\u00e1 al joven a vivir la plenitud de vida que Cristo vino a traernos.<\/p>\n

Esta conversi\u00f3n se har\u00e1 posible a trav\u00e9s de un proceso que paso a paso va presentando al joven retos cada vez mayores, que promuevan en \u00e9l una experiencia sacramental y de oraci\u00f3n profunda, que lo lleve a una vida eclesial y social, no solo emocional sino seria y comprometida. The Pastoral Juvenil Hispana promotes the communion and participation of youth and young adult groups and movements of the different parishes and encourage them to develop their leadership and commitment to Jesus and His Church in the Diocese of Alexandria.<\/p>\n

The mission of the Pastoral Juvenil Hispana is to encourage and promote evangelization processes which will allow Hispanic youth and young adults in the Diocese of Alexandria to encounter Christ and lead them to an integral development, through formation, training, and living and celebrating our faith in a spirituality of communion and apostolic commitment. The PJH also hosts various events and retreats throughout the year. The PJH serves as a connecting point between youth and young adult groups to share events, information and resources, promoting unity and collaboration among youth and young adult groups in our Diocese.<\/p>\n

The Pastoral Juvenil accompanies the young adults during their growth as a human being and in their Christian development. Every activity of the Pastoral Juvenil is directed toward the conversion (participation in the Paschal Mystery of Christ), which represents a challenge for the young adults to live the fullness of the Christian life.<\/p>\n

This conversion will be possible through a process that, step by step will present the young adults with growing challenges that will promote in them a deep sacramental and prayer experience that will take them to an ecclesial and social life, committed to the service of Christ and His Church.<\/p>\n

Misas en espa\u00f1ol<\/h3>\n

Se han establecido Misas en espa\u00f1ol en varias parroquias de la Di\u00f3cesis de Alexandria. Estas Misas sirven para desarrollar y fortalecer los valores espirituales y culturales de la comunidad Cat\u00f3lica Hispana\/Latina. Las Misas en espa\u00f1ol ayudan a ampliar la diversidad \u00e9tnica, cultural y espiritual de la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica y de la sociedad americana en su conjunto.<\/p>\n

Si usted est\u00e1 interesado en servir Cristo a trav\u00e9s del Ministerio Hispano, siempre existe la necesidad de voluntarios biling\u00fces que ayuden a los inmigrantes hispanos\/latinos en el proceso de obtener la ciudadan\u00eda. Los voluntarios podr\u00edan ayudar a las personas a entender y llenar los formularios del INS, explic\u00e1ndoles los t\u00e9rminos y ayud\u00e1ndoles a prepararse para los ex\u00e1menes. Los profesionales en los \u00e1mbitos legal, m\u00e9dico, consejer\u00eda, deportes y artes tambi\u00e9n podr\u00edan ser de gran ayuda para el Ministerio Hispano. Tambi\u00e9n surge peri\u00f3dicamente la necesidad de voluntarios que ayuden con los servicios comunitarios en tiempos de crisis. Agradecemos su generosidad de su Tiempo, Talento y Tesosro. Hispanic Masses have been established in several parishes in the Diocese of Alexandria. These Masses serve to develop and strengthen the spiritual and cultural values of the Hispanic Catholic community. The Hispanic Masses continue to widen the ethnic diversity of the Catholic Church and American society as a whole.<\/p>\nIf you are interested in serving Christ through the Hispanic Ministry, there is always a need for bilingual volunteers to help Hispanic immigrants in the process of gaining citizenship. Volunteers could assist individuals by helping them fill out INS forms, by explaining terms and by helping them prepare for exams. Professionals in the legal, medical, counseling, sports and arts fields could also be of tremendous assistance to the Hispanic Ministry. The need also arises periodically for volunteers to assist with community services during times of crisis. Please contact one of the churches listed below.\n
