Child Nutrition at our Catholic Schools<\/strong><\/h3>\n\t

Menus served everyday at our Catholic schools always include:<\/strong><\/p>\nBreakfast:<\/em><\/strong>

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.<\/p>\n

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form<\/a>, (AD-3027) found online at:http:\/\/www.ascr.usda.gov\/complaint_filing_cust.html<\/a>, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. The Diocese of Alexandria Catholic School Lunch Program takes part in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. Meals are served every school day.<\/em><\/p>\n

Reduced Lunch Program<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Eligible students may receive meals for free or at a reduced price of $.40 for lunch<\/strong> and\/or $.30 for breakfast<\/strong> for both elementary and middle\/high schools. You or your child(ren) do not have to be a U.S. citizen to qualify for free or reduced price meals.<\/p>\n

Your child will be given an application form during his\/her first week of school for you to apply for reduced price meals. Please take a moment to complete the form whether you think you qualify or not. OR check the box on the form “decline to apply” and return the form to your child’s school. We would greatly appreciate it! This will help us serve your child better by letting us know you had the opportunity to apply.<\/p>\n

If for some reason, your child is not given a form, you may obtain an application for reduced price meals from your school’s office or the School Nutrition office at the Diocese of Alexandria St. Joseph Catholic Center, 4400 Coliseum Blvd., Alexandria. At this time, the form is not available online.<\/p>\n
