SUMMARY:Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
DESCRIPTION:Locally\, Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission Church in Forest Hill\, will celebrate this feast day with a 5:00 p.m. Mass at the church\, in Forest Hill. There will be a dance and dinner afterwards at St. Martin Church\, Lecompte.  There will be much traditional/indigenous food\, music and dancing throughout the night.  There will not be a procession this year.\n\nOur Lady of Guadalupe is Mexico’s patron saint. This feast day is important and celebrated in Latino/Hispanic communities across the country. Many participants dress in traditional garments and the celebrations typically include large fiestas and dancing.

DESCRIPTION:Holy Savior Menard High School invites all students in grades PreK3-6th grade to attend the Sixth Annual Christmas at the Nest\, on Tuesday\, Dec. 3 from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.  The evening will start in the school gymnasium with storytime with award-winning storyteller\, Sylvia Davis.  After storytime the fun will continue in the school mall area with Christmas crafts and games\, light refreshments\, and pictures with Santa.  This event is FREE and open to the public.  Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Food Bank of Central Louisiana as part of the Christmas Cheer Food Drive.
