Holy Ghost Church and St.Richards Chapel Fall Fair
October 3-7

Activities include: the Children’s Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 3; Country Store/ Garage Sale Friday through Sunday, October 5 -7; Red beans & rice dinner with fried chicken, corn bread and coleslaw at $7.00 per plate will be served on Saturday from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m.; Gift Bingo after the 4:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday (Cash and a variety of new gifts). Sunday, Oct. 7, Pork & chicken dinners prepared by the Barbeque Men and Women. Cake and Sweet Sale, Special Bingo at 3:00 p.m. The raffle drawing will be immediately following the Bingo Games.

St. Augustine Church Fair
October 12-14

St. Augustine Catholic Church will host their Annual Fair featuring a taste of Creole cuisine, culture, and history. Festivities begin with a fish fry on Friday, Oct. 12 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. and music by DJ Butchie Wutchie. Saturday and Sunday events include music by DJ Doc Couty, kids games, country store, bingo, Creole foods including chicken gumbo, turkey dinners, meat pies, dirty rice, hot tamales and home-baked goods and Carnival foods including burgers, candied apples, funnel cakes.Visitors are welcome to join in the celebration of Mass: 5:00 p.m., Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. St. Joseph School Fair
Oct. 13-14

The fun begins in Plaucheville Saturday, Oct. 13 after 4:30 p.m. Mass with fun jumps and obstacle course ($5 wristbands required), kids games, burgers, tornado potatotes, boudin, cracklins, funnel cakes, fried oreos, homemade cakes, Carlos Smith’s famous eggrolls, Bingo (50 cents per card), evening KC fish fry at $7 per plate, live music and more until 11:00 p.m. On Sunday, Oct. 14 doors open at 9:00 a.m. for more kids fun and games, cochon de lait dinner at $9 per plate begins at 10:00 a.m., live music, raffle prizes, and more. A Taste of Creole
Oct. 19

St. Juliana Church will host the 14th annual Taste of Creole Night on Friday, Oct. 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the Church Activity Bldg. (900 Daspit St., Alexandria). Join us for a night of Creole food tasting, entertainment, and fun for the whole family. Tickets are $15 per person. For more information, call (318) 445-6700.


Our Lady of Prompt Succor Fall Festival
October 27

Gates will open at 10:00 a.m. with fun and games for all ages! Don’t forget to check out the Silent Auction and Sweet Shoppe in the Divine Providence Center, along with the entertainment and the Talent Show at the main stage throughout the day. We will also have plenty of food cooked by our OLPS Knights of Columbus for lunch. The day will come to a close when we give praise and thanks at outdoor Mass at 4:00 p.m.

St. John the Baptist Church “Mini” Fair, Cloutierville
November 3-4

The fun begins following 4:00 pm Mass on Saturday, Nov. 3, with food, gumbo, meat pies, tamales, burgers, a sweet shop, prize bingo from 5:30-8:30 pm, a country store and a trail ride at 5:30 pm! Sunday, Nov. 4, the sweet shop  and country store, prize bingo from 1:00-4:00 pm, baked turkey dinner with cornbread dressing and all the trimmings, gumbo, meat pies, tamales and burgers! Raffle prizes include a full size quilt, basket of beauty products, slow cooker, cookware and a George Foreman Multi-Cooker!
