The Archives Office hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.


PURPOSE
The Catholic Archives of the Diocese of Alexandria was established to preserve and safeguard its historical collections and to document its contemporary history.

RECORDS
They are preserved through microfilm, copies, manuscripts, originals, and Compact Disk.
Most of the early records are in French and some in Spanish.

(Inquiries by phone or e-mail will not be honored.)
Provide as much information as possible (surname of the person, date of birth, or year of baptism, marriage or death, name of parents if available)
There is a nominal fee for this personal service of $15 to search one record and $3 per certificate upon request.

  • Assistance to pre-approved visitors and to serious researches of history.
