For nearly 40 years, Holy Savior Menard Central High School has served both the Catholic and non-Catholic communities in preparing young people for the future. In the areas of math, science, history, English, social studies, and the arts, Holy Savior Menard Central High School sets high standards for its students.
The Catholic faith is taught in each grade as a required class. The New Testament, Old Testament, and traditional family values are some of the areas covered in daily religion classes. The Mass is celebrated weekly, and each class makes an annual retreat at Maryhill Retreat Center.

Holy Savior Menard Central High School is accredited by The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The following is a statement from the last peer review by SACS:
The Peer Review Team certifies that the school has satisfactorily met the expectations and responsibilities involved in the SACS School Improvement Process. Additionally, the Peer Review Team certifies that Holy Savior Menard Central High School meets all the standards required for accreditation. The Peer Review Team recommends to the Louisiana State SACS Committee that Holy Savior Menard Central High School continue its accreditation by the Commission on Secondary and Middle Schools of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Brief History
Holy Savior Menard Central High School has been a tradition in Alexandria for more than 100 years. In 1893, Father Leonard Menard and the Brothers of the Sacred Heart opened a boys' school named St. Francis Xavier Commercial College. Later renamed Menard Memorial High School, it offered a quality Catholic education to area males until 1967 when Menard was united with the area girls' school, Providence Central Academy, to form Holy Savior Menard Central High School at its present location. In 1988, grades 7 and 8 were added to the school.
Since being named Holy Savior Menard Central High School, the following have served in the position of Principal through the 2006-2007 session: Fr. Hugh Bigger, Fr. Douglas Hawkins, Fr. Warren Laroque, Sr. Cecile Claire Vanderlick, Sr. Michael Rose Stanzel, Mr. Pat O'Donnell, Mr. Terry J. Mayeux, Mr. Robert L. Mahfouz, Sr. Janez Shonfeld, Sr. Marice' Elvekrog, Sr. Mary Ellen Theriot, Ronald Lemoine, Dale Skinner, and Ronald Roy.

How to Register:
To begin the registration process, visit the Holy Savior Menard website, pick up a registration packet from the school office, or call the office and one can be mailed to you. Inside the packet will be all the necessary forms for registration, as well as a complete list of fees and tution rates. A birth certificate and social security number are required for registration.
In order to simplify registration, to make the process more efficient and convenient for parents and students, and to better communicate with parents and students in course selection matters, Holy Savior Menard is implementing changes for its registration procedures. The Guidance Office will be available to answer any questions regarding Course Selections from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. If special times are needed to discuss Course Selections, please call the Guidance Office for an appointment. Once Course Selections are completed, you may send in your completed Registration Form with fee by March 15. Those who have no questions may register at their earliest convenience.
The Registration fee is $150.00 payable when the registration packet is submitted to the office. This fee is NON REFUNDABLE.
As in the past, only after all required forms have been submitted and the registration fee has been received will a student’s course selection be entered into the computer. At that point the registration process is considered complete.
* Parents who pay tuition and fees in full by July 15 will be granted a $100 tuition discount.
* Parents who choose to take advantage of our new Electronic Tuition payment plan must complete the colored registration form in the registration packet and return it no later than March 15.
* Parents who choose to remit monthly payments using their tuition payment booklets are reminded that the first payment is due July 1 with your activity fee, and your last payment is due April 1.
Late Registration: The registration fee after March 15 is $200.
