The Office of Religious Formation and Training seeks to guide others into a lifelong encounter with, and formation in, Jesus Christ. We assist disciples of all ages in their journey to full maturity in the Roman Catholic Church through human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral growth.
The Resource Center at the St. Joseph Catholic Center (Diocesan Office on Hwy. 28 West) is open to the public and is a tremendous resource for all who want to learn about the Catholic Church. The Library at the St. Joseph Catholic Center (Diocesan offices) is open to the public. It is a great place for all who want to learn more about the Catholic Church. It can be accessed from 8:30am – 4:00pm Monday - Thursday, and from 8:30 - noon on Fridays. Books and videos can be checked out including many new titles on apologetics, Benedict XVI, and many more.
The Diocese of Alexandria offers the Catholic Classics Series in each deanery. The series will be held once a week, usually during Advent and Lent, and each covers a different faith topic presented by a captivating priest! Please see the Faith Formation Series page for specific times and dates.
