Called 2B Catholic is a music festival for the whole family, and will be held at St. Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles, LA (1620 Bank Street). It is sponsored by the Diocese of Lake Charles and will feature music and talks by Steve Angrisano, Josh Blakesley, Cooper Ray, Ayleron, Christina Theriot, and many more. The event features a Main Stage, Breakout Sessions, Adoration Chapel, Coffee Shop, and Concessions. The day will begin at 12noon and will end with a 6:30pm Mass with Bishop Provost.  Tickets are $10/each, and there is an "Early Bird" special available before Sept. 3rd. The rally will be held at St. Augustine's Church on the Cane River and is open to Jr. High and High School students. This year's theme is "Peace I Give You." The day will begin at 10:00am and end at 6:00pm. Speakers include Ansel Augustine, Paul Hood, and Christina Theriot, with music by Gabriel's Cry. Come for great music, fun games, and inspiring talks. Experience a true moment of worship and expose your Jr. High Youth Group to good Catholic values in a fun manner at this rally, held at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Alexandria, LA. The Catholic Student Organization at LSU-A will sponsor an Awakening Retreat Oct. 15-17 for college-age men and women regardless of what university they may attend. This year's theme is "BACK to the BASICS". The retreat is open to all faiths, but is centered on Catholic teachings.  The focus of the retreat is on various topics, activities, music, Sacraments, and so much more! The NCCYM is the largest adult conference for Catholic Youth Ministers in the country. This year's conference will be held at the New Orleans Memorial Convention Center.
